It's really a rudimentary Android 2.1 manual applied to the Tab. That said, the Tab uses Android 2.2, so the added functionality of the newer operating system is missing. Plus, you'll definitely need more than this manual to be a decent Android user. This book is like taking a four week language course and then going on a trip abroad; there are many things left out. The language is plain and effective. The visuals are very rudimentary and somewhat hard to make out.
If you're a technophile or already well versed with Android, there is nothing here that you don't already know and couldn't figure out easily on your own. I'd skip this little book. I'm sure you can find more sophisticated operating instructions and tricks online for free.
